Tasting Notes

A crisp and pale straw-coloured wine with herbal notes. Fresh lemon and lime persist throughout balanced by an underlying steely acidity. This wine is true to the style of a classic Hunter Valley Sémillon demonstrating good length and structure. It has the citrus freshness of youth, but is developing those delicious notes of oak that typify an ageing Sémillon. But note this wine has not been oaked. 

If you are eating a food that you would squeeze a lemon over, pair the food with this very classy Sémillon. 

2021 Cabernet Franc 

The Cabernet Franc 2021 has a smooth rounded palate with a juicy centre, finishing with a mineral acid freshness. Tasting of fruity red berries and pronounced aromas of red cherry, wild raspberries and fresh cut herbs, this is a magnificent single vineyard example of a Hunter grown Cabernet Franc.

2021 Tempranillo

One of the world's favourite red wines: smooth, fresh and fruity, and simply delicious. Ageing beautifully with the benefit of time spent in French and American oak, this wine has a velvety mouth feel with savoury and more earthy flavours. This wine will cellar for 10 years or more. 

2021 Alicia Rosé

'Soft, fragrant and uplifting, reminiscent of my mother's soothing embrace'

Our Signature Rosé has an alluring soft rhubarb colour; it is dry in style and is made from what our winemaker calls a ‘field blend’ of Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc - all grown on our Hunter Valley property. It is lightly oaked and has flavours of strawberries and citrus, finishing with a toffee edge
